5th Day - 5 Ringed Robins

‘What’s your favourite bird?’ my answer was always the Seychelles magpie robin. Why? Well, they were not just special because they were one of the rarest birds in the world and endemic to Seychelles, but they were cute, intelligent and smart.

Living on Aride gave us the rare and fantastic opportunity to get to know birds and other wildlife intimately and individually. Now with magpie robins that was made even easier, as to track the population, each bird had a different ring colour combination on their left leg, so we knew who was who and who was doing what with or to who' - Island to Island - From Somerset to Seychelles
