I received a lovely warm welcome at Bridgwater Library yesterday from 40 eager participants keen to brighten up a cold wet afternoon with stories from the Seychelles. Invited to talk about my recent publications, it was lovely to see so many people wanting to hear about the trials and tribulations of living in the tropics.
From sharing our kitchen with a chocolate-eating gecko, our shower with lizards, and our bed with ants, to finding a baked mouse in the oven, there were plenty of tales to tell and were enjoyed by all.
Sharing stories is what brings them alive - thanks Bridgwater Library for your hospitality.
